Public procurement in EU - recent developments and perspectives
Zagreb, April 23rd 2024, Hotel SheratonThe State Commission for Supervision of Public Procurement Procedures is organizing an international conference in the field of public procurement, which will be held under the support of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development with the participation of:
- The European Commission - Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SME's
- Representatives of first instance public procurement review bodies
Conference objectives
The conference is intended to inform public procurement stakeholders about the latest trends in the European Union public procurement law. Prominent speakers will present the content and effects of the latest European Union public procurement legislation which covers the area of public procurement at the European Union level (regulations, sectorial legislation, directives and judgments of the European Court of Justice), and will shape public procurement law in member states in the coming period.
The objective of the conference is to raise the level of professional knowledge of expert advisors and members of the State Commission for Supervision of Public Procurement Procedures, as well as other experts in the field of public procurement, by exchanging opinions and experiences with representatives of first instance public procurement review bodies, distinguished domestic and foreign experts in the field of public procurement and international and croatian academic community.
The participants of the conference will be given the opportunity to hear public procurement experts from the European Union, including university professors, European Commission representatives, and first instance review bodies representatives.
Targeted audience
Contracting authorities, economic operators, public and private sector, representatives of the authorities in the public procurement system and academics from the European Union and Croatia.
Main benefits
Participants of the conference will have the opportunity to hear more about future challenges related to latest public procurement legislation at the European Union level and new requirements set before contracting authorities and economic operators when applying public procurement law. Additionally, different contract amendment control systems models in the member states will be discussed along with experiences in this area.

Registration and participation
The conference will be hybrid- it is possible to participate on-site (at the Sheraton hotel) or online.

Due to the limited number of places, participation on-site is limited to two persons from the same institution.
All additional participants from the same institution and all other participants interested in online attendance should register via the Zoom application using the following link.
Due to limited number of places and expected high interest for the conference, on-site participation is possible after receiving the confirmation of participation.
In case of fully booked on-site participation, interested participants can follow the conference online.
